So this has only been a start page for a couple months, any word on this pool being active at any point?

For the third time now! The pool is up, has been the whole time for months now it just has no one hashing on it!

thanks for my first 6 MNCs, really nice and easy. I'm a mac user and music productor, DJ, musician, all my stuff is free downloadable. Now I'm accepting tips & donations with Bitcoin & Quark, so could be nice add a Mincoin address, but I'd like to use a local wallet. At the moment I can use the MCXNOW wallet, I think they do not change it like others exchanges does. So waiting for the OSX wallet...I say waiting cause I saw it's still in development status, If I'm wrong and it is ready please tell me where to download it.

NO it's the devs (Most probable) taking the daemon offline to skim the low diff blocks...

It is NOT some large or many private solo's...

To mine the amount they do in such short time would need many thousands of gigs...

Statistically impossible to get so many found blocks in such short time..it's ONLY by being compromised

No it is a bait and switch skim op....Hijacking by insiders.

 

This has been going on for months.

 

Many pool ops have complained....It's not multi pools as I have had as many as 12 friends on all the largest multi pools...they all claim ZERO min activity.

I was prtner in a large pool op and know many insiders and other pool ops that have had same problem and won't add this coin.

Hash So. can confirm the daemon shenanigans as can many others.

 

I have MANY screen shots and enough proof to satisfy any jury that they have been phuking miners for a VERY long time.

 

 

If you have mined this coin you WILL have noticed...When you see 2000% variance from 60Mh/s while @ diff less than 2.5 you KNOW the coin daemon HAS been HIJACKED.

 

This is WHY the coin value has not hit rock bottom like other coins because it can be so easy to keep a false high price when 50% of the coins are FREE and NOT going to the public miners

And just for the record from someone who understands mining, this big hash will be running inefficiently and finding a ton of orphans too. In my opinion it is wasted hash, this is proven and is why so many profit switching pools and multipools are trying to come up with more dynamic code that will shift certain amounts of hash power but not tons of it for short periods  but shift it for longer to secure their profit.

I have worked for months with the profit switching pools (at least the English speaking ones) and they have all agreed not to touch the network for quite some time so imo this hash is someone random, or a pool in a country that does not advertise in our circles

I have done this for free i have spent over 10k mincoin to bribe some of the more dense and stuck in their old beliefs pool ops to stay off our network to allow us to nurture it back to health so that miners may have a better chance at mining on the MinCoin network, so forgive me if i call you a clown for blasting your junk accusations all over bitcointalk cct and here because its just that "accusation"! Becasue frankly the notion you are pushing is so embaressing to yourself that i don't even care to explain it just yet, but push me and i will.

I would like to see MinCoin abused less on exchanges due to inexperienced traders pumping and dumping it like all the other coins out there.

Hey everyone this will be a thread you can all post your bugs that you have found and we the dev team will review the list and priorities the fixes

So there is no format requirements just post bugs as you fine them

Go by your miner but the pool is just calculating shares you have submitted over a ten minute period.

Hash rates are not an exact science in some cases.

In actual fact you are submitting shares not at one stable rate, you submit them slow fast slow fast and the hash rate on the pool correlates that your hash is going up and down because of the way shares are submitted

but just for your minds sake go off what the miner says because at the end of the day you are submitting shares and they are being counted as a proportion of all shares sent to the pool for that block and you get paid accordingly

The hashrate monitor needs time to counts shares over a certain period but does seem to fluctuate a lot and ill get someone to look into that for you

Btw i know why guiminer wasn't working..you were using sha-256 algo to mine and not scrypt..Mincoin is a scrypt coin not a sha-256 coin

Im getting a lot of these kinds of issues form people, I'm assuming people are downloading a miner from the getting started page assuming it will just mine for them

but you have to make sure you are putting in the right pool details and your worker details or else it will mine to some random pool for some random account

Dear MinCoin users, In a rush to get the mac/osx client out to the MinCoin community we decided to outsource the work unlike the windows and linux build which were done in house.

We ran some initial tests on the osx build and everything looked 'good'. However, after ~10 downloads of the mac/osx client, one of our users reported he was experiencing 'strange wallet behavior' and upon hearing this we immediately pulled the OSX client D'L link from the site to investigate the issue.

Upon further testing we found that our hired osx dev had left a private key to his personal wallet in the file. Now we are not certain if this was left over from his testing and simply a clerical error made in haste to finish the client as quickly as possible but it is possible it may have been intentional and done with ill-intent.

Either way, thanks to our fast acting dev team the D'L was pulled and at this point in time we have only been notified of one user having a 'missing coin' issue and we have apologized to said individual and issued a refund of the 3mnc he lost with a couple extra for his troubles.

For now, if you happened to be one of the other 9 users who downloaded the mac/osx client version please transfer any coins out to a non-mac/osx client or to an exchange like mcxNOW.com. and delete the client in its entirety(Do not backup the wallet.dat). And we apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you.
