  1. Most people here (I anticipate) don't trust PayPal because it is possible for you to report the transaction as never occurring. Thus Paypal will refund you your money while you actually received your MNC. If you want to do a fiat to MNC sale, I suggest doing it locally, using an escrow, or going first for someone else in sending them a Western Union or some other non-refundable fiat transaction. Good luck!
  2. Someone actually bought the 250 BTC wall? Maybe the guy has two accounts and is faking that he bought it
  3. that 275 BTC whale is insane... i agree....
  4. BTC in my opinion is in full bubble mode right now. If you were to buy alt coins instead of 1 BTC, the amount you would have spent on BTC would make you a prince right now in an altcoin... 1 graphics card = 1 BTC? I think we are overbought here. Adding more people to a coin does not make it exponentially better. In fact, it makes it crowded, slow, and can draw unwanted attention on a coin with questionable legal status. If you have any faith in altcoins, it would be wise to hold. If you don't, just sell so that you can hold onto an increasingly centralized coin. Good luck!
  5. I find windows much faster with guiminer (running cgminer), but some have seen better performance with ubuntu. Guiminer is just too easy to pass up for me
  6. He needs to do a whitepaper at this point I think. Sunny King is great at releasing white papers, but bad at keeping his coins from inflating. RS and Sunny should figure out a compromise lol
  7. With how much the US prints money, I'm sure one day those $1800 buyers will see a "return" in that they will get the same amount of cash back that they paid, but who knows how much they can buy with it
  8. Cool! I guess the people who have something to hide are the ones who are more cautious about giving their address out when they don't otherwise need to. PS: Do you follow what is happening in Coober Pedy? I know they do a lot of mineral mining out there, but I'm super interested in hearing about the oil industry there, if there is one yet? Someone I trust was hyping it hard
  9. I think it was extremely misguided of Kramer to get on MSNBC when gold was chomping through 1600, 1700, 1800 in 2011. He gets up there and says "You know at this point, you should just go buy gold." It is amazing how the world markets literally bowed down to a few key members of a 500 person Congress....
  10. I'm noticing a trend of MNC supporters also loving gold and silver I have a pretty large credit line from Newegg, so I would love to help sell PC parts for crypto. It wouldn't be a brick and mortar store, so my premium would be pretty close to paying for it from them. Let me know if you want to do it- I'll still spot you the bounty!
  11. I hope so! 100 MNC for finding someone of quality shows how hard it is to track someone down Verilog and VHDL are two "Hardware Description Languages (HDLs)" that are used to design FPGAs and ASICs. Most people who know how to use them are working in aerospace or computing or other "hard" engineering firms, so it is usually best done on a word-of-mouth basis or through a specialist forum. So, if you track someone down who has: A) Time B ) Skills C) Reasonable price D) Proximity to me/willingness to use Skype Then it will probably work! Thanks in advance mate
  12. SuperTramp can probably make subforums for you to post in your local languages. You should private message (PM) him Bem-vindo!
  13. If your alt coin isn't a crypto commodity, then I would be scared to use it!
  14. Right, it is nothing against mainstream people probably are not familiar with/interested in generating crypto. Even many gamers I know, who probably have the required technology, are not very interested in it. So it is certainly an enthusiast project, and we enthusiasts just so happen to be hoarders rather than spenders. However the specs of the coin support spending quite easily, so it will be up to us to figure out a unique way for MNC to attract people who wish to spend quickly.
  15. MinCoin (MNC) - a minimalist version of Bitcoin optimized for CPU mining using scrypt as a proof of work scheme. MinCoin is bronze to Bitcoin gold Only 10 million coins total will be generated 1 minute block targets for ultra fast transactions To encourage early adoption block values for first 3 days are :- 500 MNC, 100 MNC, 50 MNC After first 3 days block value will be 2 MNC per block until all coins mined which will take roughly 10 years The rest is the same as bitcoin. 720 blocks to retarget difficulty (half a day) I assume that Sandy Cohen didn't touch it. I wish I knew someone familiar with bitcoin code that could point you in the direction of where these specifications are stored. If you have skype, I would be happy to put you in contact with someone who might know
  16. This is an ambitious goal, but the rewards for the store that chooses to be the first to MNC would likely be enormous. It takes courage to be the first to do something in a "risky" proposition, but I am willing to speak/invest with anyone who currently has the capacity as a brick and mortar store to begin accepting MNC. Please email me for more information about this!
  17. I am offering a large, long-term payable bounties (many hundreds of MNC) to the person(s) who wish to skillfully design and upload some of the following content to www.josephshanahan.com. 1) A dictionary (laid out in a design similar to wiktionary) for various language families (Romance, Germanic, Proto-Indo-European)... You might ask "why not just upload it to wiktionary?". This is because I feel that wiktionary is unreliable and doesn't adequately credit users for their work. This is why some of the content is lacking and only of "encyclopedia" quality, not specialist quality. 2) An automated MNC faucet with rotating advertisements. 3) A compendium of academic/technical sources related to cryptography. Examples would be anything from DJ Bernstein's papers on encryption (cr.yp.to/djb.html) to Sunny King's papers on XPM. These are all open-ended projects and I am interested in working together with anyone who wants to create a specialized library for topics we're both interested in. Please email me at jtshana92@gmail.com for more info and to speak with me directly and quickly.
  18. I am offering a 100 MNC bounty to the person who successfully: 1) Finds a VHDL/Verilog engineer on a forum, in person, via linkedin or craigslist etc 2) Has that person email me their resume 3) Has that person agree to tutoring me for some defined period of time. I can pay in USD and the lessons can be via skype or in person in the eastern seaboard region. Happy hunting!
  19. I too cannot bear the wait for the day when someone posts a fake 100 BTC wall at 0019 and I eat it for breakfast ^.^
  20. Not to necro this thread, but we really need to get rolling on this! ^.^
  21. Really? damn. Something is really going wrong with their servers... Someone should try to fill this gap.
  22. I have one for sale (gigabyte flashed bios) if you are interested! sorry if I am missing something you stated, but let me try to help. You've installed GUIminer scrypt and have all of the proper drivers. Is it returning an error message when you try to connect to a pool and mine? Is cgminer recognizing your device? Can you run games on your computer via the device?
  23. Can you list some of the characteristics of a module that would make it more flexible? I've never truly understood the need for modules outside of the client/public address system, so I am sure that once I have a better picture of it, I can help in the search.
