Thanks for the thoughtful outline @lovetolearn.
I will work on taking good notes for us while I'm not busy listening intently - so that we have good material to review afterwards for action items and such.
As this will be town-hall style, people should feel encouraged to ask or discuss anything they wish.

I will be available at around 10 pm/11 pm UTC on this day. I look forward to this meeting!
    Ground Rules to be established:
No question is a dumb question. Let's be friendly, respectful, supportive and professional at all times.  One person should talk at a time. Then, responses should come from the lowest of rank first and end with the final thought from the highest ranking member(s). This would allow for other members to fill each other in to avoid unnecessary repetition.  Communication is key - please feel free to introduce yourself, state your intention for being with The Mincoin Project and what you hope to see happen during the meeting and lastly, please feel free to share what you like about this project and what you would like to see improve. Have fun! Here are my Topics for Discussion:
Outreach to Merchants - Building Merchant Relationships (this is what made DoorDash so successful - they were given a segment on Bloomberg TV where the CEO, Tony Xu, was interviewed on what made them the best in their industry and to see how aware they are of their competitors and the nature of their industry). We can hold an educational session to help members/users to learn how to use VanityGen. (Maybe we can post a video to DTube to build a following and an additional income stream for us to fund new exchange listings and renewing our current websites. The video would have to also show how to approve the application using Windows Firewall and Avast Free Anti-Virus) Recording all conversations on Discord to Mincoinforum once a month. I think it may be worthwhile to record members rising the ranks as well once a month. Putting out Trading Reports across all MNC pairs once every Friday (implementation has begun as of 12/22/18 please refer to the #trading text-channel on our Discord if one would like to verify that it has, in fact, been implemented already). Long-Term Mincoin Calendar (Brothers and Leaders should be able to add/edit events and details as well) - Android (and iOS?) Wallet, SegWit, building apps on our chain, letting coins build off of our chain. Perhaps we can eventually ask for originstamp.org to give an option for authorized/familiar/reputable parties to send legal and good documents, etc. to our blockchain.   Fun Games for Major Holidays and Breaks (Easter Break, Summer Break, and Winter Break) and Events - 1337 has a #random-events text-channel where their Discord members can earn 1337 for playing competitive games right there in their Discord channel - I had fun playing that and earning their coin as well. If something works, then I don't see why we shouldn't emulate accordingly, you know?  Global Bakery Start-Up Idea - Perhaps we can find an individual/merchant to take on this idea? Why is community building important? What's the next step to building community? 1K Discord Members? What do we peddle to our community members exactly? I feel like we should tell them to invest in us by investing in themselves by learning to code or learn about blockchain and other types of ledgers, or at least learn about setting up a basic foundation while investing or testing the waters, like having an emergency fund for 24 months and it should adjust itself for inflation. At the same time, we, of course, must remind that of what differentiates us and makes us peerless in within this newly founded Blockchain Era.  Why did that CoinDesk article (Please see the article that I'm referring to if interested - the link is as follows: https://www.coindesk.com/crypto-is-down-so-why-am-i-smiling) say we should focus on making solutions to current problems rather than hypothetical problems? What does that mean for us?  Making sure everyone's OS and anti-virus is up-to-date and their Tor software, as well as their Mincoin wallet versions. This is a suggestion/guide, of course. At the same time, we should feel comfortable going off-topic as we see fit. And, fun shouldn't be excluded from the agenda for this meeting for sure.   I hope this helps!
    Best,
    ltl

    Hello,
Thanks to the support of miners around the planet, support for BIP66 and BIP65 is over 75% in the last 10,000 blocks.
Once 95% of the last 10,000 blocks are mined using the v0.13.0 wallet the BIPs will become active and blocks from the earlier wallets will be rejected.

ltl reacted to Groovebrother in Pending - Mincoin Outreach to Amazon - Peer Review/Editing
Okay, so the first thing which comes to mind is that we are asking Mr. Voguls to do work by saying he should come to our website and learn how to contact us.
Since the CTO is a business professional, I would imagine a business letter might be a good format to use.
A business letter doesn't necessarily have to be in dead tree format either. Creating a PDF on some letterhead we produce would be more professional and also provide an opportunity for us to include attachments which are similarly well formatted.

I especially like this exercise because it is saying, "Pitch the CTO of Amazon", but in reality I see we are working towards a communication process which could be used over and over again with various merchants, vendors and employers globally.

This is the kind of outreach we will want to first cobble together in English, revise and polish and then translate for more widespread dissemination.
  10. Thanks

Hello to all MNC Community Members and Leaders,
Please feel free to provide any constructive thoughts regarding our outreach to the Chief Technology Officer of Amazon, Mr. Werner Voguls - our intention is to inquire on what large/leading firms are looking for in order for us to better know how to accommodate them and make commercial adoption easier and more efficient for them.
Here's what we have so far:
"Good Afternoon. We would like to know about questions that this company may have about adopting Mincoin to pay employees and as a way of receiving payments for products and services that Amazon offers. Please visit us at https://www.mincoin.us/ to get more info about how to contact us and other important details that can save you some time - feel free to reply via Messages on Twitter as well. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day!"
    Thanks for any assistance guys!

ltl reacted to Miller in Full Node Tutorial [Windows]
We are building the Mincoin backbone and need your help to be the best network.
Operating a full node is easy and we want to empower the community to help one another.
Follow this tutorial for a basic full node installation.

First, we must configure Windows to show file extensions.
        Don't skip this step.
    Open Windows Explorer.
Click Organize and then Folder and search options and then the View tab. Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types and then click Ok.
Now we will begin the installation of a full Mincoin node.

Download mincoin-0.8.8.0-win32.zip Extract the contents and find mincoin-0.8.8.0-win32-setup.
Double-click mincoin-0.8.8.0-win32-setup and say Yes to User Account Control if prompted. The Mincoin Setup program appears. Click Next to continue.
Click Next to choose the default Install Location.
    Click Install.
Click Next to complete the installation.
Keep Run Mincoin checked and click Finish.

Press CTRL-Q to exit Mincoin.     We have now completed the Mincoin wallet installation.
Be sure to exit the program (CTRL-Q) after it runs for the first time.

The next few steps enable onion routing for Mincoin which improves global accessibility.
Download the Tor Expert Bundle for Microsoft Windows.     NOTE: Make sure you download the Expert Bundle and not the Tor Browser.
Extract the contents to your desktop.
Double-click Tor to see the contents of the directory.
Double-click tor.exe to start the program. Uncheck Always ask before opening this file and then click Run.
A new window will appear and Tor will begin bootstrapping.
Wait until you see Bootstrapped 100% and then close the program.         Next we will prepare the Tor configuration file.
    Open Windows Explorer.
Type %APPDATA%\tor into the Address Bar and then press <Enter>.
Right-click inside the whitespace of the Windows Explorer window and click New and then Text Document. Type torrc into the box and press <Enter>.     Another warning will appear about changing a file name extension.
Click Yes to rename the file.
Notice the Windows Explorer Type column shows File for torrc.
If your screen shows Text File in the Type column you skipped the first step and must uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
Double-click torrc.     A new window will appear asking you to Choose the program you want to use to open this file.
    Click Notepad and then OK.
Add two lines to the file and press CTRL-S to save and then exit Notepad.
Now we can start Tor and it will listen for Mincoin connections on a special onion address.
Double-click tor.exe to start the program.
You are ready to continue when you see Bootstrapped 100%: Done.

Minimize the Tor window to the background.     If you did the above step correctly a new C:\Tor\hostname file was created.
Next we need to inspect C:\Tor\hostname to learn the onion address so we can add it into mincoin.conf.
    Open a Windows Explorer window.
Type C:\Tor\hostname into the Address Bar and then press <Enter>.     A new window will appear asking you to Choose the program you want to use to open this file.
    Click Notepad and then OK.
You will find <youraddress>.onion inside of C:\Tor\hostname.
Make a note of your <youraddress>.onion. We will use it soon.     Now we must stage a Mincoin bootstrap.dat to synchronize with the network efficiently.
    Open a Windows Explorer window.
Type %APPDATA%\Mincoin into the Address Bar and then press <Enter>.
Download Mincoin-2004937-bootstrap.dat and then drag it into the %APPDATA%\Mincoin folder. Alternate link from mega.nz is faster for international users.
    Rename the file to bootstrap.dat.
Next we will prepare the mincoin.conf file.
Right-click inside the whitespace of the Windows Explorer window and click New and then Text Document. Type mincoin.conf into the box and press <Enter>.     Another warning will appear about changing a file name extension.
Click Yes to rename the file.
Notice the Windows Explorer Type column shows CONF File for mincoin.conf.
If your screen shows Text File in the Type column you skipped the first step and must uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.

Double-click mincoin.conf.     A new window will appear indicating Windows can't open this file.
Choose Select a program from a list of installed programs and then click OK.
A new window will appear asking you to Choose the program you want to use to open this file.
Ensure Always use the selected program to open this kind of file is checked. Click Notepad and then OK.
Add these lines into mincoin.conf and set externalip=<youraddress>.onion. Press CTRL-S to save mincoin.conf and then exit Notepad. NOTE: <youraddress>.onion is the value you found earlier inside of C:\Tor\hostname.

Now launch the wallet by clicking Start -> All Programs -> Mincoin -> Mincoin.
An error window will appear asking if you want to rebuild the block index now.
    Click OK.
A moment later the Mincoin program will begin importing blocks from the bootstrap.dat file.

At this point you will notice the status bar on the bottom left of the Mincoin window reads Importing blocks from disk...
When the bootstrap completes, your node will synchronize with the Mainnet peer swarm to obtain the latest blocks.
If your router has UPnP enabled then you will see more than 8 connections to the network.
From the menu bar at the top of the wallet, click Help and then Debug window.
Verify the Number of connections value is greater than 8 to ensure incoming connections are being accepted.
Next we will add onion seed node address.
Click the Console tab. Type addnode fkhwktieszixa2d2.onion onetry and then press <Enter>. Type addnode cyixu5mrodmjbkpr.onion onetry and then press <Enter>.
Close the Debug Window.     Once the synchronization has completed, the Overview page should appear similar to the following.

Everything is now ready and the configuration is complete.
Congratulations! You made it this far, you are now operating a full node and helping the Mincoin network.
When you want to quit using Mincoin, close the program and also exit the tor.exe window you have in the background.
To start using the wallet again in the future, first start tor.exe, then minimize it and then start Mincoin.

ltl reacted to SuperTramp in Why was Mincoin brought up in The Merkle as a Scam?
I'm not 100% sure if you follow when I say that is a "paid press release". So, I will give you an example. I could very easily write an article about MinCoin, touting it as the 'Greatest' cryptocurrency in existence. And then I could go on to say that Bitcoin and Litecoin are both inferior scam coins. Guess what, since I am 'paying' for that article to be released it would/will be released.
You get what I'm saying here?
    -ST
    PS.
That being said, it's pretty cool when another cryptocurrency or, [in this particular case] a cryptocurrency 'wannabe' feels threatened enough by MinCoin that they actually include us in a press release they had to pay $$ for

ltl reacted to Ninja in Determining Factors of MNC
Mincoin has no premine and the only known amounts are those which have been paid in bounties to users and contributors over time.
It is also well-known the team members do actively mine mincoins and are also actively buying them on the Trade Satoshi exchange.
I don't know what this is would you kindly be more specific?
Probably not.  My grandma can barely operate a smart TV and gave up on computers years ago - unless your grandma is more intuitive than mine she will need a lot of help getting into cryptocurrencies.

Mincoin is a direct descendant of the original Satoshi client.  Anything you can do in Bitcoin or Litecoin's 0.8 branch you can do in Mincoin.  Short answer, yes.
There are applications which have been built on top of Mincoin, yes.  As we continue improving the network protocol by integrating the upstream soft-forks and adopting new features from the state of the art Bitcoin reference client our use cases will also increase.
Anyone can do what they want with the Mincoin block chain and the software.  It is free an open source.  Short answer, yes.

Yes, yes, yes and please define "accessible masternode standards" - this sounds like a quite subjective measure.
Anything which could have been done with Bitcoin's block chain through the 0.8 branch can be done on the Mincoin block chain without significant effort.
Mincoin has 10x the transaction capacity of Bitcoin and 2.5x the transaction capacity of Litecoin.  The target spacing (block time) is regulated by our Splash Guard difficulty adjustment algorithm such that on average; every 60 seconds there will be a new block.  Bitcoin has 10 minute blocks and Litecoin has 2.5 minute blocks.  Mincoin is more reactive in terms of block times due to improvements over the original Satoshi difficulty adjustment algorithm.  A little known fact is that miners can include transactions with high fees or no fees at all.  The default fee schedule built into the client is so low you would barely notice it.  At launch the fees were defaulted to 0.1 MNC but they have been dramatically reduced to 0.00005 MNC to encourage micro-payments using mincoins.
Depends on whether you own zero mincoins or if you own a boat load of mincoins. It also depends on how successful our future integration with merchants, vendors and the greater marketplace become over time.
It would be speculative to answer this definitively since nothing has been coded into network protocol. I have heard rumors that 50K MNC / 100K MNC / 250K MNC are favorable to Mincoin promoters. The percentage of the block reward which would go to masternodes is also unspecified at this point.  Promoters have suggested both 30% and 50%.  Somewhere down the road, the community must establish consensus on the collateral required to operate a Mincoin masternode as well as what the reward amount should be.
